"Kirbyville offers many programs and classes that encourage college readiness. They offer dual-credit classes. The students get to pick what classes they will take and this makes high school much more enjoyable and shaped to the career path you so choose. They have pre-AP classes that are academically more challenging and they are typically five-point classes. This is a great way for students to prepare for college. There are several teachers who are licensed through a nearby college that give us tips and advice for performing college work."

"I absolutely love Kirbyville High School. I had been home schooled and it was the perfect transition from home into the real world. I was very involved in tennis, choir, and NHS. I easily made lots of friends and keep in touch with all of them. My teachers went above and beyond for me. Tennis was my favorite school activity. My coach, Diana Caston, was and still is an incredible mentor. She taught me to believe in myself and, no matter the score, keep doing my best. When I moved, my school counselor helped me step-by-step in getting my college classes underway and still regularly checks on me. I tried to finish out my high school career at this school, but my family moved and I was unable to. I still go back and visit often. It was a tough curriculum to uphold, but with the help of my teachers, I did well at Kirbyville"

"There is a big ethical diversity at this school. Students are mostly accepting, but there are a few troublemakers that are just mean to be mean. There are not opportunities to reach out to people with differing sexual orientation, as we don't have many people like that. We have a great group of students, and I have never witnessed any bullying. There is a zero tolerance for it, and the teachers are extremely particular about it. This school has never had any issues regarding race since I have attended."

"At Kirbyville, the teachers, for the most part, are dedicated and truly care about the success of their students. We recently got a new principal and he has been working diligently to "weed out" the teachers that are less than committed. As a result, the school has been on an upward climb since then. My first year of school, I had issues with a certain teacher because her grading was unfair. I went to the principal about it and he did nothing. My sophomore year, we started the year with the same issues, the same teacher showing partiality. I went to the new principal and we approached her together, getting to the root of the problem. Overall, the teachers are wonderful in Kirbyville."

"It's not the greatest and they don't do a thing about bullying. Most teachers are fairly boring. There isn't much diversity as far as teaching styles go."
