"Royal High School is a very strange place for a student to experience high school because of two main reasons. The first reason for this is the size of the school. Royal High School enrolls only around 130 people per class, which makes for a very intimate knowledge of each student by the other students and administration. This is a two-edged sword because the teachers will know how their students tend to learn and gear their class so that their students should be able to learn. However, rumors can spread through smaller populations at an astonishingly quick rate, so teachers and students who may not know a student will tend to make assumptions on based upon things they may have heard, this gives students a reputation, good or bad that will follow them throughout their years at the school. Going to Royal High School is a lot like stumbling into a family reunion. The second reason for this strangeness is the administration, or lack thereof. The administration changes very frequently, much like the wants and needs of a four year old. There are yearly 'firing raids' on departments that have not quite made par on standardized tests, so you can bet if students do not do very well on important tests, there will be a whole new set of teachers after summer vacation. This hasn't improved the quality of students education, only made the first few weeks of school more awkward as students meet their old teacher's replacements. Even the principles of the school are replaced fairly often if they do not meet certain requirements on discipline and test scores. In a 4 year period, Royal has gone through 3 different principles, each with a very different set of rules and standards for students to meet. In short, Royal High School is a strange place to go to high school because of the small size and the ever-changing administration."
