"The students are rude and I have gone through the worst years of my life due to my old "friends". The teachers aren't subtle about their picking of favorites and half do not keep up with grading. House competitions feel like a complete waste of time. The now split lunches are miserable for me because I got separated from my true friends. The administration doesn't have its priorities in order, in that it spends too much of it's money on unnecessary materials for Dance Team, Cheer Team, and Football, such as new bags and multiple uniforms, instead of keeping up maintenance of the football/soccer field, which ruined the 2015 football season for kids only capable of going to home games, for the bleachers were ruined. There are many empty threats of keeping the rules enforced, especially on dress code, though they are improving. The fire drills are completely ridiculous. I very much hate the house system for it is too much of a waste of time."

"My first 3 years of high school were pretty great. I began to get more involved my sophomore year, and the activities at school are wonderful. There are many extracurricular activities and clubs to become involved in, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. My senior year has been interesting as well, a lot of senior privileges were taken away due to the class below us (class of 2017) because they have a negative reputation, but other than that I've invested in many clubs. Student council is one thing I am proud to be apart of, although I've only been in it for one year, (I'm the secretary) it's been an honor being so involved with the student body. One of my most memorable experiences was organizing and planning homecoming, the dance, decorations, homecoming week, pep rally, and more. It was a lot of work but quite worth it. One last thing near and dear to my heart is the art program. We have an outstanding art teacher and our new art room is magnificent. We have so much talent in the art department and I am excited what we can accomplish. Even though I came to this school calling is Pope John and I am going to graduate now with it being called Saint John, I don't regret any of it. The environment is great, everyone is caring and it's not as preppy as you think a "white" school would be. (I'm Asian so I'm a minority here). I recommend this school to anyone looking for a small atmosphere private high school in the Katy area!"

"Most teachers encourage self teaching and do not grade consistently"

"The are many many excellent teachers at my school and I am glad to have. Luckily I was fortunate to have the really good teachers throughout my 4 years of high school. They are engaging, insightful, stay on track with the lesson, and actually help us learn the material. Unfortunately, there have been teacher incidents in the past and maybe a 1/4 of the teachers aren't the greatest. I'm sure they're working their hardest to do their best but they aren't really good teachers. That is only a small percentage though. Many of the teachers I have I appreciate and I wouldn't want to have any other teacher."
