"I love my teachers. They really care for my education."

"I feel that all of my teachers at Sterling were very knowledgeable, fair, and kind. Although I struggled a little here and there, I always felt at home. I hardly ever felt afraid to ask questions, and knew that whatever grade I received was the result of my hard work, and in some cases, laziness."

"While the majority of the teachers you will have at Sterling are rather dispassionate in response to the low-levels of enthusiasm or willingnessto learn presented by their students, you are likely to have at least one engaging and personable teacher each year. Overall the teaching staff are good people who are more than willing to help you succeed it's just that sometimes they get frustrated with the apathy pf the student body, many have just given up."

"Sterling High School is an environment in which kids aren't simply taught to pass the STAAR test, but are taught to be caring members of society. Every single one of my teachers were very supportive and fair, but I did go through a few rough patches. In fact, my freshman year was the hardest year of them all. I struggled horribly to pass my geography class, and because of it, I feared that I'd have to retake it, however, toward the end of the semester, things began to brighten. When the STAAR test results came back, I found out that I'd achieved the highest score in the class. No words can describe the relief I felt. If I could go back to my freshman year, I'd make sure to achieve a perfect GPA, join the school Band, and tell my teachers how much I appreciated them, because unfortunately, I didn't realize until my senior year, how lucky I was just to walk the halls. Sterling truly is a wonderful school."

"Parents aren't involved in schools administration much, the GCCISD schoolboard makes sure of that. However, I have no doubt that a good majority of parents want to see their students succeed and parent turnout at sporting and extracurricular events is usually pretty high."
