"The school spends most of its budget on its teachers. A lot of the science and math teachers are (apparently) Ph.D's in their fields. Not many of them were American, but oh well."

"It's a STEM school. You will take STEM classes and only STEM classes. Yes, there are the obligatory English courses (which often house some of the most easy-going teachers in the school). Yes, there is the (VERY BASIC) Arts and Music course. But other than that, you're stuck going to STEM oriented classes and competing in mandatory STEM oriented events after school."

"The teachers are okay, the students are extremely nice. The lunches are horribly, and the school is so underfunded that the walls are practically made out of Styrofoam and the engineering programs can only afford to build stuff out of Lego. I didn't really mind the place at first, but once I got moved to a public school it retroactively soured my opinion of this place. If you absolutely cannot stand the public school environment (or if you want to surround yourself with students who take their aspirations in science far too seriously), then this school MIGHT be for you. But I'd honestly just recommend staying within the public school system. You will have far more opportunities to get involved in something that you're actually interested in."

"Most of the teachers come from Turkey and their teaching skills are different. Its hard for the students who grew up learning Spanish, and even harder with someone with a different accent. Some teachers don't care for does who don't understand and just sent them to ELC. Some teachers seem mentally unstable such as our computer teacher in the High school wing tells every one he forgot to take his medication and is very bipolar. Another example is one of the English teachers complain about her divorce and her kids who live with their father, because CPS took them away. There are some teachers who are super duper amazing and helps us with college. And to be honest I love and thank does teachers who helped us with the difficult teachers."
