"it was my school. it was awesome. the school work was challenging. they really taught me how to use a computer. the teachers are very friendly. the school makes you feel like a family. there is only about 25 students a grade so you get pretty close to everyone. you get to take awesome field trip all over texas. they really do a good job teaching mexicans how to read english with the esl program. i really miss going there. it was a great school."

"Very bad school for high school students ! I am currently enrolled in fbs 2016-2017 and this school is behind in academics from my old public school ! The sports here are very limited and the kids from mexico cus up a storm! If you want your kids to hate you the rest of your life send them here ! it may have good bible teachings but is way behind in every thing! Send them to public school and they will love you more. Public school has a free lunch and breakfast unlike first baptist. In public school they explain every thing unlike first baptist. They just talk and expect you to listen and know how to do it ! I hate it here but do not have a choice to move !"

"Though First Baptist School does have a great academics program, offering well-vexed teachers and dual-enrollment programs for students, there is still a lot of room for improvement. For example, the incredible amount of pressure is felt by every student in high school. It is especially felt by those entering high school who had not been there previously in middle school. Due to the fact that the students have no prior knowledge of how the system works, it hits them like a torpedo. They are used to "loosey-goosey" and many do not survive more than one year. Where does this sense of pressure and stress and pressure come from? It mostly comes from the ridiculous amount of homework assignments, quizzes, and tests given. Not only is it a large amount of all of this, it is also the fact that the teachers do not pace the class. Every assignment just comes right after the other. A typical day in the life of a student in First Baptist is as follows: quiz, test, quiz, quiz, homework, homework, test, test, quiz, more homework. This is what I would change about the school. I would actually let the students breathe and not drown them in assignments. However, this does not go to show that the school is completely bad. First Baptist is unique in the sense that it offers dual-enrollment classes. What these classes do is that they give any student taking said classes college credit. Obtaining these credits before even entering any university or institute is that it saves students time and money. Quite frankly, if I could do it all over, I really don;t know if I would choose this school again. On the one hand, there is the opportunity to earn college credit. On the other hand, there is the incredible amount of stress and pressure from all of the homework assigned. This is why I have mixed feelings about whether or not I would choose this school again."
