"The academics that the school offers are common in other schools the only difference would be the amount of work that the teachers put into each lesson and the work that is involved within the class. Many of the teachers expect the best from students. Administration helps students with academics by giving students extra hours to study."

"The teachers are very dedicated to their work and are very helpful when it comes to helping students with making up work or misunderstandings in an assignment. Every teacher has one goal which is to give every student a comfortable space and to make every student understands the material. The teachers are fair in grading all together."

"For the most part, teachers make it easy for students to ask for help when it's needed and the relationships between teachers and students really is unlike other schools. However, every year we do have a few teachers who are not qualified to be teaching yet and it greatly impacts the learning and grades of the students."

"My experience in this school is something I won't forget in many good and bad ways. My favorite experience was mainly with my friends or on field trips. I will never forget my freshman year because I was young and not the brightest of them all I did get in trouble a lot but from those mistakes I developed who I am now. This school is unique because of it's culture involvement everyone is mainly from the same background which makes us unique and be able to incorporate our culture. However, if I had the option to choose this school again I probably wouldn't because it is very different from a normal high school such as the ones around like Lincoln it isn't as big or doesn't provide much of what I am looking for. For example our school is still not chssa certified which means nobody comes and recruits people from our school or we don't play big schools that make games exciting as a matter a fact we don't even have a football team and that's a big flaw with our school. I am really into soccer and knowing that I don't really have a chance to be recruited or get some type of funding for colleges or teams really doesn't set me up for success."

"Overall, I would say my experience at this school has been average. The school spirit is very low because students are afraid to put themselves out there. Therefore, the positivity in this school is low from the students. It has all been a plain, boring experience with not too many fun and hyped events. Also, a lot of the students are not as motivated as they should be. Our school is mostly made up of first generation students, so the importance of working hard to strive for college is not as emphasized as it would be in a family that has had generations in college. I do believe parents play a big role in encouraging their children to stay motivated in order to move up on the socioeconomic class, and help break the education gap of Hispanic students. On the other hand, I like our cultural school events. For example, my favorite memory was when our beloved teacher assistant passed away in a tragic ATV accident, and we commemorated him through a Native celebration. Mr. Vigil called a few friends to sing a few songs in the Native language in order to show respect and love to Mr. Crawford. It was a beautiful event that showed the compassion and humanity in our students and teachers. I love the compassion our teachers have because that is what makes us all closer. I am glad I came to this high school because it provided me with an experience of close relationships with my teachers, friendly interactions with students, and it improved my sense of community and compassion."
