"Teachers are available after hours, they hand their phone numbers and emails to students. Office hours are easily accessible in terms of hours. They are also involved in after school and extracurricular activities."

"KIPP challenged me and allowed me to go out of my comfort zone. They offered the sports I was interest in. They made extracurricular activities worthwhile. The school was small that everyone knew each other, making it a small community."

"The workload is a lot yet is manageable. There is a lot of core classes that we are forced to take. An example is that most high schools require 3 years of science to graduate while KIPP requires 4 years. We don't get to pick our classes. However, we get recommended for AP/honor classes and as student, we get to accept or deny it."

"The school is 99% hispanic/Latino/a and therefore, there isn't much diversity. For me, when I started college, I went from being a majority to a minority and barely knew how to deal with such a change."
