"There are a variety of core classes offered at the school for all grades. As long as you obtain the amount of credits needed for graduation, your schedule is pretty much yours to do whatever classes you want or need. There are alternatives to different core classes; like for an English credit, you could do Creative Writing, Shakespeare, or Myths and Folklore. They also have added "lab" classes where you can work on homework, which is beneficial to students who have extracurricular activities that take up their free time."

"I have really enjoyed most of the teachers I've had at Snow Canyon. When I have a hard time, I know I can count on them to go above and beyond to help me reach my goals. Most of the teachers are friendly and approachable, but there are a few who tend to be more introverted which isn't always helpful in the situation of a struggling student. The teachers know what they are teaching, and many of them take on extra classes to allow students more options for classes and extracurricular activities. Most of the teachers seem to genuinely love their jobs and put a lot of effort into it, and it creates a good experience for their students. Overall, the teachers at Snow Canyon are devoted and caring."

"I love that at Snow Canyon, whether or not it appears like this to others, the student body really is united. We're like a big family. Sometimes we have ups and downs, but some of my favorite school memories are just laughing with everyone in class and genuinely enjoying it. One reason why I wouldn't go back to this school is the drug problem. To other schools in the area, we are known as "Stoner Canyon" because of the amount of students who do drugs. Even kids like me, who aren't involved whatsoever with that crowd, will tend to have at least one up close experience with drugs. Its not a huge problem during the school day or with interfering with class, but it is annoying. Another reason I wouldn't go back to this school is how it runs. I love the staff, the students, the overall experience, but there can be corruption. To get on some athletic teams, you aren't judged by how good you are. You are judged by the graduating seniors and they determine whether or not you make it. So if the seniors don't like you, you don't make the team. I know multiple people who haven't been allowed on teams because they weren't popular enough. However, if you are the student of a faculty member, you automatically get in. Also, it can be hard for people who aren't the stereotype here. If you aren't straight, white, and LDS, it's harder to fit in. This is unintentional, but it happens. Besides these things, I love how much Snow Canyon and its' community come together, and the fun times we have in school; and my high school experience has been good for the most part."

"The students for the most part are somewhat diverse. The majority of the student population is white, straight, and LDS. People tend to cling to those like them, but there is some crossover. I'd say about twenty to forty percent of the student body is Hispanic, and maybe one percent African American and Native American. There are a handful of gay or bi students at the school, and the school is very accepting from what I've seen. However, for some reason all of the Hispanic students tend to hang out together and don't attempt to intermix with the white students. I'm not sure if this is from intimidation, or just cultural. I haven't seen or heard of discrimination, hazing, or bullying in regards to sexual orientation or race. There are some immature kids at the school who sometimes make rude comments about all different types of people, but they tend to find that there is no tolerance for that with the majority of the people in the school."

"One of my favorite things about Snow Canyon is the drama department and the productions they put on for the community. I have had the opportunity to see the yearly musical all 3 years I've attended, including one I was involved in last year. The dances Snow Canyon puts on also are very enjoyable and I've been able to attend several. The student section at basketball games is cheerful and exciting and my favorite part of attending athletic events."
