"There are tonnes of clubs and whatnot, but there's very little way to actually do anything meaningful and important unless you're rich and can do it on your own time with your own money."

"These people. Oh, God. The year before I came, they screwed up their AP testing schedule so badly that everyone who took the test failed, and these were not people who could afford to throw away $90. So, to "fix" that, they refused to let me in barely any advanced classes, despite the fact that I was clearly and demonstrably more advanced than the rest of their class. *sigh* Well, that's all over now."

"I had an absolutely wretched time. They almost screwed up my National Merit Scholarship, they were rude to me, and they wouldn't accommodate a lot of my reasonable requests. They also sorta held me back in that they wouldn't offer applicable AP courses to me so I could get ahead in school. I wish so, so much that I'd've stayed at my previous school for my senior year. :("

"They were okay. The problem was that the school was too new, so all the teachers were new, too. I was none too impressed by most of them, but they weren't hateful or anything, just overwhelmed."

"Many of the teachers are new to the classroom, and some have previous background experience, which creates an interesting dynamic to our school. Our school has been around for 5 years, going on 6, and only have 3 teachers that have been around since the opening of the school. Every year we have had teachers leave, and new ones come temporarily. I personally don't believe that is good and shows that there is a problem in our school with the administration;however being a student I don't know what it is. This particular aspect needs to be fixed and teachers should feel grounded to our school. Because many of my teachers have been fresh out of college they have been young, easy to connect with, and sometimes fun to work with. Some of the more experienced teachers have the same qualities as well. But I do think the administration in my district hasn't quite allowed growth in possibilities of expanding or limiting put school and their soending. Though budgeting falls under funding and a whole other situation in my community, I am thankful for the gen ally table school district I have been in the for the past 12 years for my education."
