"I love the parental engagement at the school, they are encouraging and will speak up for every student when they talk and address issues that they feel need to be taken care of. They speak for those of us who don't dare to address issues."

"They could use some improvement on their speaking skills, teaching skills, and be more approachable. Giving respect to some students who feel they do not understand the material instead of just singling them out in a class of 60+ students and embarrassing them for asking a question that may have not made sense to their own self."

"The teachers are okay here. They seem to know what they are doing but most of the time they teach from the book and not as much examples to learn from. They are nice and caring for the students and it is easy to get along with."

"Thoreau is okay, its not the best but they still provided the students a few after school and extra curricular activities but not many students join sadly. Only a few that are on the top percent of the class."

"My high school is not that populated, so it is easier for the teachers to get to know you personally to help you whenever you need it and there is a variety of AP, Honors, and even Dual Credit class available to students that want or need it. We are top of the district in math and sometimes science but the school is strict on core classes and students that need those credits they didn't get because they didn't pass can get them in either night school, Saturday academy, and summer school."
