"I liked how the teachers would be treating the students. They would help them learn the things the need and they really get connected with the students here at Thoreau High school. I am proud that the school got me here and helped me get the education i needed for college. The thing i would want to see change is all the restrictions on the drinks."

"I love the parental engagement at the school, they are encouraging and will speak up for every student when they talk and address issues that they feel need to be taken care of. They speak for those of us who don't dare to address issues."

"They could use some improvement on their speaking skills, teaching skills, and be more approachable. Giving respect to some students who feel they do not understand the material instead of just singling them out in a class of 60+ students and embarrassing them for asking a question that may have not made sense to their own self."

"The teachers are okay here. They seem to know what they are doing but most of the time they teach from the book and not as much examples to learn from. They are nice and caring for the students and it is easy to get along with."

"Thoreau is okay, its not the best but they still provided the students a few after school and extra curricular activities but not many students join sadly. Only a few that are on the top percent of the class."
