"Despite what Navajo Pine lacks as material things go, it's a tremendous school due to the fact of it's originality and character. If given the chance I would most definitely go to school there again. It incorporates Navajo tradition, language and culture into it's curriculum and into many staff and students' ways of life which is quite uncommon in schools throughout the country. People there keep it real and have a humble take on life which gives it a place where the community can come together particularly in the field of sports. The focus isn't on People magazine or what the Kardashians are doing next, it's practice for sports and getting the firewood chopped to keep the house warm at night."

"We get a lot of turn over from the "Teach For America" program which is good, however some teachers seem to only be in the program for career enhancement. Another problem is that there is a lack of stability in some areas due to frequent teacher changes."

"I liked my school and thought it was great, but now that I look back on it, I realize that I didn't learn as much as I could have because the teachers were focused on helping struggling students. The students at the top of the class tend to sit around and help other students because they finish their work. I would go back to this school if they increase their ability to help all students succeed and not eliminate anybody from higher learning."
