"The school need to expand and act more like a traditional high school . The staff are very helpful and understanding. The location of new west is a little odd and the rules for drop off and pick up are extremely non sense."

"New west charter overall is a outstanding school. The staff is very helpful and treat students with respect and genuine care. New west being a small campus makes it hard for students to have space and be crowed. New west has personally helped me be more prepared for college and life!"

"The school spirit is lacking but if you are looking to get into college that is an irrelevant thing to care about. It is a good school but does not have a big school football team sort of vibe. The diversity is fine and mostly dominated by caucasians and latinos. The food catered by choicelunch is generally not great though with most food services it really depends what you buy. If you want to play sports professionally, don't go to New West. If you are not looking for that, go here because the teams are easy to make. - Sergio (6th grade)"

"I love this school because all the teachers are supportive and always want student to do well. Most thing that I like about this school is all teachers are willing to listen to my story, even if it's personal. This school is always clean and everyone is nice to each other."

"The school is clean, safe, and welcoming. The teachers are supportive and the academics are challenging. However, the school campus is small and students do not have as many class choices as students from other schools do. However, the teachers try their best to create new classes or clubs so students can learn about what they are interested in. The lunch program that New West has offers healthy food, but it is more expensive than most school lunches. Students are always welcome to ask the staff for help or report any issues. The students at New West are very competitive about college, which causes many students to feel stressed. We have two college counselors that can discuss academics, applications, financial aid, and career options with students. Overall, I am happy with this school and I would recommend it to other students."
