"The teachers academically, they try their best as they can for their students. Though, it's a bit hard for students to understand each lesson and can't exactly learn from it. Performing art teachers are very strict towards their advance classes and expect everyone to participate because that's what they auditioned for and it's a commitment. They really do care about their students and are very friendly. You can really trust them, they are the teachers who I come to trust a lot. In a sense of learning it's alright. But, the atmosphere they give are welcoming and accepting. They always are there to listen others and know what to do in some situations. And they rely on you too, they will ask for your help as well."

"It's very accepting. But, most of this school is latino. It is in the name, East LA, and it's the home of the latinos and some culture. There a couple of stuff in the performing arts that will relate to the latinos culture."

"I loved High School, I met my best friends because we all share a love for music and been true friends til this day. I had a great experience because I was very active and managed to be in every visual performing art that this school offered and it was amazing. My favorite memory would have to be being with all my friends in the last show at this school. It was the only show that everyone from the group was in. And we all did together til the end."

"My experience at ELAPAM was great. I was able to know my whole graduating class my whole four years. It was like one big class, because our school is one building everyone knew everyone and I thought that was something good about our school. We all knew the teachers and they knew us. I loved how even though we are 5 different academies on campus when it came to sports anyone from any academy where able to join. Thats where I felt like I met different people even though we were all on the same campus. My favorite experience in my academy was leadership that really helped me grow as a person as a leader. I was able to meet a lot of underclassman being a freshman. Our school helps us mix the grades and get to know people from different grades not just your own grade level. This school gave me many opportunities to go to places and do what I love, the dance. This school besides education make you open up with dance, choir, music, or theater. Everyone ends up leaving with a passion for something to continue doing after leaving. I would come back because I would like to experience what I did and make it better by trying stuff I wasn't able to try the years I went. To also make a change and be more involved with my school."

"The teachers at my school are very caring. They take time to talk to you outside of class if you need it either with class work or personal. Some will be harsh and tell you how its not easy but they do it to push us and go past our limits. I've had a Spanish teacher who had his doctorate degree. He was one of the few teachers who would sometimes criticize our school on what we do wrong and what we need to do. Even though he would say that, I know he said it because he cared about making the school better. He had a lot of knowledge that I learned from him. He taught real life situations while teaching the course. He would give you the grade you deserve regardless. I feel like most of our teachers there were reasonable when it came to grading. They have great communication with us and let us know anything new dealing with work, homework, finals, projects, and school events through Jupiter grades, a website we used for grades. I think our teachers are great loving teachers who are invested in teaching us and seeing our growth."
