"San Pedro High School isn't a very good high academic school in my opinion . I've been going to this high school for 3 years now & I've notice how poor the academics & college readiness there is to offer. Most teachers really don't care if you learn or not they keep moving on with there lesson plan . They don't bother to actually correct homework . I would just like to see a major difference in academics at San Pedro High . I would not send my future kids here !!"

"SPHS is just like any other LAUSD school community. It may have a couple fights here and there throughout the school-year, but so does every single other LAUSD school and that does not make the school unsafe. There are two campuses to SPHS, and the other is Olguin campus. This campus is beautiful and in a lovely location, nevertheless I see it as more of a safe space. Not that the main campus isn't safe; Flagship simply is more diverse and has more opportunities and classes to offer. Majority of Olguin students take the school bus to Flagship because they prefer the teacher or the class is not offered at Olguin; a much smaller campus with a significantly less number of students(mostly for students who like living in small bubbles). I entered SPHS as an Honors student and my classes are engaging and very college preparatory. My teachers really show that they care about me and my success."

"My experience at San Pedro high school has been amazing. I have been on the color guard team for 4 years and have made many memories with them. The thing I would change about the school would be the cleanliness of the school."

"I attended SPSHS as a Police Academy Magnet Student. My experience there was great. It was a small new campus, close to the ocean and nice atmosphere. The teachers there, well they are unique in their very own way. But all of them are passionate about their teaching. They want all of their students to succeed, the students just have to take that help and use it to their advantage."
