"There are a few teachers that are great However, there are teachers that teach critical subjects, such as Math, and they need to be terminated. The administrators are aware of the issues but do nothing about correcting these issues. It is sad because students are failing Math because of this existing deficiency."

"I have mix emotions on the Academics. The Math department is awful excluding Ms. Harris (teachers AP Calculus, etc) and Mr Torres. Ms. Harris is a phenomenal teacher. However, Ms. Coyles is over the Math department and she has poor management skills, she is a below average teacher and when students move on to the next level of Math they are unprepared. It's sad because the administration is aware of this issue, along with the knowledge that there are other Math teachers that are just as bad, and no action has been taken to address the issue. It's unacceptable. The popular classes, such as US History, Government, etc are required and always full. Last year, there were students that had to take U.S. History at the local Adult School. This is due to poor planning on the administration part. Another issue is there are teacher that barely speak English and students cannot understand what they are saying. Some of these teachers, such as the Mandarin teacher were hired by the administration, which has their own set of issues and are considered below averages in their core responsibilities."

"Sure I knew many people, but it just feels like a small world. I can recall the times when I would isolate myself from the crowd mainly because I wanted to be alone for a while"

"My overall experience has been average. There are teachers and coaches that are bullies, They lie and do inappropriate things and again, the administration doesn't do anything to correct these issues. There a high performing students that consistently demonstration positive behavior in and out of the classroom. However, at low performance schools such as Carson, they view all students in a negative light. Its truly a prison."

"There is a little tension between some ethnic groups but for the most part the social scene is okay. Most issues with gangs occur off campus. Two students were shot and killed last year but again, the incidents occurred off campus."
