"Attending John A. Rowland High School for four years, I have been exposed to many things offered in the high school and one thing I believe needs to change is the relationship between the counselors and the students. I often had to ask around for college advice because I wasn't informed about how to apply to college and the specific steps to take. Other than that, Rowland High School offers various opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with other students and faculty."

"Rowland was ok. There isnt really that much school spirit. The quality of teaching can be really inconsistent, depending on which teacher you get. High school wasn't really amazing, but I would reccomend getting involved with sports or something."

"It is a normal high school. However, I wish there were more resources on what is needed for college. I did not know about SAT subject testing. I'm also not sure what to do to get scholarships, or how to apply for college. I feel that all high schools need to teach kids this."

"The community of Rowland High School is heavily Asian-Latino based; there is a defined split between advanced and regular classes in terms of classroom environment and student motivation. My greatest concern is the corruption within the ASB (Associated Student Body) which might as well also stand for Abuse of Social Benefits. Those who are acquainted with school officials can easily take unfair advantages. It was hard to experience a sense of security when test answers are handed out like candy from the reputable classmates, club officers edit reports, and the qualifications of many teachers are highly questionable. Many classes are basically self-study since the education received in most classes are just not up to par at all. Overall, many aspects of this school can be put to question but the performance of students at this school are relatively high in standardized tests."

"Most of the teachers that I've encountered have been mediocre to say the least, there were only a small handful of respectful and genuinely caring staff members. The food was satisfactory however the campus could use some renovating."
