"This school has helped me further discover what I want to do in the future and plan well for post-secondary education life. After taking classes that benefit my high school career and my college career, I feel less nervous about the transition from high school to college now that I know what an actual college class consists of. I owe this confidence to the teachers and counselor here, who are so involved in each individual student's academic lives, and the students who make this an enjoyable, healthy environment."

"I really like the teachers and the different things we are learning. It is not like a regular high school and there are not thousands of students so it is a very close knit group of students. I wish we had more clubs on campus but we get to take college classes and join college clubs so that is great."

"Grossmont Middle College truly changed my life. From regular classes to college-oriented studies. I am thankful for the most amazing english teacher, she helps prep you for the SAT and always gives feedback on how to improve your work. Grateful to be part of an amazing program although at times the history teacher's lectures dragged on, and he nearly always compared world news to his "liberal" views. Great program, just wish it could be a different more relevant history teacher who doesn't always trash the president-elect every chance he gets."

"The academics of this school are the highest quality I've ever experienced. The teachers give and immense amount of insight on the curriculum at hand, and do their best to connect it with current-day issues."

"Though the majority of students are white, there is quite a handful who are either Native American, Syrian, Iraqi, and Mexican. Each student gives a unique world perspective that helps broaden our world view and gives us insight on the culture norms of other places besides the U.S. Additionally, the political involvement of our students is beyond compare; the students of Middle College articulate their opinions on politics in a manner that it makes all opinions easy to respect."
