"The academic classes offered at this school are usually known for their AP and listed honor classes provided for students."

"What I like about Kearny SCT is that it is very unique -- it's a small school within a high school complex that focuses mainly on medical pathways."

"Some of my most favorite experiences in this school include having teachers that treats you like their own family. For example, I have had two teachers that often share about their life, family, and school experiences -- this make me and my classmates feel like we are actually a part of their life, not just their students who would come and go. Also, I like Kearny SCT's uniqueness -- it mainly provides students medical pathway information. I love learning about it since I am very interested in the medical field -- which I would want for my future job/career. I could actually apply what I learn in this school in my life -- especially my science classes such as Human Body Systems and Principles of Biomedical Sciences."

"The environment of this school could be better, but overall it is a great school!"

"The academics in this school is great, but they are quite intensive (especially if Honors and AP classes are all in the same semester). The workloads in and out of class can be pretty overwhelming, and having a good time management is not very easy to obtain. The teachers are helpful with making the students feel comfortable and are helpful with the workloads given, though they try to stay away so that we can be independent and figure out most thing on our own. They often mention that's how college is going to be like -- they are preparing us for the future. It is just a little bit difficult to work through the schedules because Kearny goes by a 4x4 schedule -- meaning students are only allowed to take 4 classes per semester (there are 2 semesters in 1 full school year), which makes the classes limited."
