"I am surprised to see a staff member air this out and would be surprised if it is a staff member. It must be nice to have a class completely under control with no student distractions. The working conditions are excellent and the support staff and administration are very professional and personable. Probably in their day they didn't have electricity."

"The person who commented on the use of the intercom is a disgruntled neighbor who is a retired secondary teacher and has been out of the game for a long time. We no longer use the pony express to send messages. I know that the office staff use the intercom before and after school - hence the no parking in the red zone announcements. My children have been at Fruitvale since kinder and I have always been impressed with how the school is run. The office staff is very professional and welcoming. The teachers are top-notch and the administration is very supportive. If ever I had an issue or concern they were always there willing to help. I think the person who bad-mouthed such a wonderful school should go and talk with the office instead of hiding behind a post. I, for one, love the school!"

"Excessive misuse of intercom/paging system by faculty is highly disruptive to the student's learning process. Every student is constantly bombarded by these rogue, unnecessary pages throughout the day telling so-and-so to report to the Principals office and so-and-so parent needs to move their vehicle because they are parked in the red. In my day we used the messenger with a pass system that hardly caused a disturbance. Absolutely ridiculous. I hope something is done about this soon."

"Working for Fruitvale Elementary has definitely been life-changing. My colleagues are so dedicated and have such a passion for teaching that makes coming to work everyday so enjoyable. My husband and I were so impressed with the school that we even purchased a home in the area just so that our children could attend Fruitvale. It's a geat school with caring staff. Thank you for all that you do for our students and thank you for making Fruitvale a great place to work!!!"

"The principal at the school is incredible. She has gone out of her way numerous times to assist my son when he is struggling to keep up with his peers. She has even extended an offer to provide him with one on one tutoring after school if need be. The teachers are excellent as well."
