"I loved my high school experience. My teachers were always there for me when I needed help of even advice. I felt very safe at school on campus. If I had to do high school again, I would go back to Buena in a heartbeat."

"The teachers at Buena are so amazing and I'm so glad I go there. Overall the history and science teachers are top notch. They're so knowledgable and do such an amazing job teaching. I'm not exaggerating or emphasizing their talents. I'm being completely honest. And those who have them for honors and AP are especially lucky because we had them in those subjects where in order to actually learn from the teacher and to like the class or even do good in the class, the teacher needs to be passionate about what they're teaching and love the subject and they do. My honors biology and chemistry teachers were amazing. They were intelligent, funny, sarcastic, caring. Many times we'd get perspective lectures on how what we were learning applied to real life and that was nice. And wiw they really went out of their way to make sure you knew the materials. I'd bother them all the time before school, at lunch, after school, and over email yet they never complained and always welcomed me. It was really really sweet do them to do that. Then my history teachers. Wow. My AP European history teacher especially was probably the best teacher I've ever had in my life. I hated history before. I really didn't care much about it at all but I took the class because it was the only one offered as an AP class for sophomores. By the end of the first week though I was hooked. She really did such an amazing job. Honestly she was so hardworking. I know she worked just as hard as we did. She taught us the basics of an AP class and engraved then in our heads so we'd be prepared for the next 2 years of high school. She'd return our graded DBQ's and long essays and tests 3 or 4 days after we'd taken them. And she didn't do a half baked job either. She really critiqued and paid attention to each one of our writing pieces. There was about 35 of us. She was there long hours after school and every Saturday she had "office hours" for whoever felt like they needed help or wanted to take notes etc."

"The teachers there made sure most of the time that every student got the attention they needed so long as the student was willing and able to put in the work and show desire in needing attention and help with the subject requiring attention."

"Where I live, there's my school, our rival school, and the tech school. The rival and tech school are so much more praised and admired. One has really good sports programs and the other has really good test scores and academics. We're more balanced. We have some good sports programs and most of our student body is great. We also have so much diversity. It's kind of funny. Our football team hasn't won a game against our rival school in so many years, whoever our spirit is well known in the city. Our sport section is huge and always so packed. So there's that. I guess we're like the underdog. obviousky no school is perfect and we do have our faults, but there's really so much good that goes on unnoticed. There are so many different, awesome, well developed clubs and I swear most of our teachers are incredible. There was this one time at the big homecoming game where we were playing against our rival team, and we had thought we won and went CRAZY. However the ref called a foul (or something like that) and let the game go for a couple more seconds and they scored a touch down. I swear you could hear the shock and anger and sadness in the crowd. We were just all speechless. That night most of the crowd was crying. Mostly I'm so grateful for the fun times I've had with all my friends and the bus rides we've shared to and back from cross country meets whether it was 3 AM or 11 PM. Those were hilarious, fun, filled with singing, and jokes, and "would you rather". I think I'll definitely remember those times as some of the best at my high school."

"The true memories from that school come from not the classes, but the people and teachers who associated with me and made my time in High School most enjoyable."
