"The teachers at SOAR High School are great because they let students be themselves, are themselves, encourage students to do their best by giving several resources to use, are consistent with the way they grade, and much more such as them treating us with both respect and love. Each student feels confided in their teachers to tell them what they are having trouble with and the teachers show their full support by presenting different solutions to the problems. There are about thirteen teachers in this school and each and every one of them have something about them that the students take along with them. They all show who they really are and form great bonds with their students in doing so. If a student is having problem with chemistry, then the teacher they ask for help from redirects them to a tutor or asks another teacher for help. Teachers are always looking for different solutions to problems. The grading system is very fair from all of the teachers because they let us know what we did wrong and sometimes spend more time with us in order to make sure we understand the information. The grading system allows all students to try again until they feel confident enough to move on. Lastly, since my school is an early-college high school, all of the staff treat us like adults and expect us to treat each other as so as well. Besides being treated with respect, all of the teachers show how much their support us and love us every time they tell us words such as, "Have you looked into this university? I think it really suits you and what you are looking for." Overall, the teachers at SOAR High School are top quality because of the way they act around us students and with themselves, having strong bonds with everyone."

"The teachers at SOAR High School are very engaged and love to help the students if you need it. The teachers use technology and human interaction to help students and give them an advantage over other students. The teachers hold you responsible and treat you as an adult and a college student, so you have to be in control and be ready."

"My overall experience in this school has been awesome because I have always dreaded going to a traditional high school because of the amount of people there is, having to take classes I don't want to take, or even having classes with people I don't know or like. Here at SOAR High School, everything is the opposite. This is so because the school has about 100 students per grade, which makes it easier to get around the 10 classrooms and to form strong friendships with most of your class. The school having the policy that nobody can come in after sophomore year has been rewarding because you always get your classes with people you already know and like, unlike other schools. Being exposed to your peers so much, one learns about their interests and also learns about their own career field because of what they have heard of them or others. This ties to my one of my favorite experiences because having ice breakers every year with the people you already know can be mind-opening when seeing how much a person can change within a year. Another one of my favorite experiences is the first pep-rally we had, which was 2 years ago. The pep-rally was formed with the opinion of the majority of our class. Everybody was encouraged to share what they wanted to do or see, and some of those things came true which made the whole ordeal plenty of fun. My other favorite experiences include all of us having a carnival, in which everybody is welcomed to bring their own booth to raise money for their clubs or just generally bring their own activities beyond those that are already planned. These activities are my favorite because they make all the students take a break from their normal lives of being at school for almost 12 hours daily because of the college classes. This ties to us being a community of high schoolers in a high school located in the local community college which makes it all worth it and makes all the students want to come back or make all their loved ones go there."

"The academics of this school is what drives people to it. SOAR High School is an early-college high school which lets students take up to eleven units of college credits per semester, and sometimes students get their Associates Degree. That is just the college though; at the high school, teachers make sure they stick with the common cores for their class, but also add spice to their classrooms by having hands on activities along with other activities to suit auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. The classes are all high-paced intense classes with heavy workloads inside the classroom, but the students get little homework because the teachers understand we also focus on our college classes. The scheduling includes the seniors and juniors in the morning and the sophomores and the freshmen at noon or so. Most freshmen and sophomores take core classes, but juniors and seniors get more electives in their schedules as they have already taken a lot of core classes on the A-G list. Students are allowed to use any resources on the college campus to aid them on what they feel they might need help on, which helps the students soar in their academics."
