"The school spirit is great. The administration makes sure that the seniors and their parents were well informed about financial aid for college."

"Hoover High is a very spirited school, teachers care, and if your kid says they cant teach your kid doesnt know how to learn. Keep your kids in GATE/Honors/AP classes for the best educational envirnment. The student pride is great at athletic events, the school team can be getting blown out 60-14 in the last quarter of the game and the crowd will still be cheering them on! And then when they score its a riot in the stands. The security is adequate, they connect and mentor kids, you take an interest in them they will return the favor."

"I feel welcomed and a part of the Hoover Pate Pride. At Hoover our pride in school is strong and we have a great time everyday that is spent on campus. The energy given off by our teachers are high and filled with excitement and influences us students to achieve our dreams and succeed in our goals."

"What I like about Hoover is the diversity. Hoover's campus is extremely diverse and welcoming to others. Hoover had been trying to increase positivity around the school, which is amazing. Many of the teachers there teach with so much spunk and positivity. They get to know you, which makes you feel like you belong there and makes you want to come back. The things I would like to change would be our sound system for the rally's because it is horrible. Another thing I would change is all the trash that people lay around. It bugs me that people leave their trash lying around and don't care to pick it up an throw it in the trash that is only a few feet away. Hoover is our home, so we should all appreciate and respect it."

"Hoover High School is a diverse campus with many opportunities such as clubs, sports, and other electives to become involved. I remember during my years as a Patriot, there was so much school spirit during sporting events or rallies. Teachers will often encourage you to take harder classes if they notice your abilities are above average. Although there were many acts of violence at school, I still felt incredibly safe. The security and administration are good people, too."
