"what I liked about El Cerrito Highschool is that they tried to help prepare me for college. I was apart of this program called USC, which stands for united students of color. In our meetings, we learned about acceptance rates and what we needed to do to make ourselves competitive for college. We had volunteers help us write our essays for our college applications and they gave us a list of scholarships along with test preparation for the SAT."

"At El Cerrito High there's lots of ethnic diversity, the campus is fairly new which makes the school aesthetically pleasing. The faculty and teachers are really great and you get to know them, they are very open to students. One thing that I personally think is great are the two academies :Ita and Media. Both academies offer a range of internship opportunities, community developement and scholarship opportunities. Overall my experince has been extremely positive. I recommend El Cerrito because it prepares students for college readiness."

"At El Cerrito High School, the school staffs are nice and they are willing to help students. I appreciate all the effort that they put into helping students and helping to make the school a better place. There are a variety of classes available at ECHS and they're all wonderful classes. Additionally, the teachers are very kind, but things do get tough to handle if a student is disrespectful to the teacher. At ECHS, there may be up to 40 students in a class, depending on the subject and I admire the teachers being able to teach and handle that many students at once. Some things that I wished could happen more is school events. Not just rallies, but a school field trip would be fun. Overall, ECHS is a safe place and has a diverse community, as well as lots of resources that most schools don't have. I'm glad ECHS has services that are useful to me."
