"DVHS is full of students working to be the best, and it does a great job supporting those students as well as it can. There are countless opportunities at DVHS for any student. However, many students will pressure themselves into taking on too many responsibilities and activities (or face peer and parental pressure, which is 5x more common than you think it is). As a result, DVHS can often be seen as a stressful environment for its students. The administration and the counseling departments are extremely aware of this issue. DVHS will often hold meetings designed to encourage everyone (especially parents) to calm down. The goal at DVHS is to find the balance between "academically rigorous" and "too much," and they've done much in the past few years to help that. Despite this intense environment and, with the efforts the admin has made to ease it, many students succeed wonderfully at DVHS, and go to college feeling completely prepared for whatever life has in store for them."

"Having transferred as a high school junior internationally, the school gave me a fluid transition, and I quickly found my place among the 2,700 students at the school. Given that the school is so large, the professionalism of the teachers vary. I had teachers that were frustrating to learn from that had forced me to rely on myself, while other teachers guided me throughout the year. Overall, the school was enjoyable, and I am glad I chose it from the several other schools in the bay area."

"Administration and teachers don't listen or care about any of the students here. They just keep giving unreasonable amounts of homework! This school is such a joke and a disgrace!"

"This school is the worst school I have been too in terms or morality and I have been to two other highschools! Students here think that they are good or bad because of there grades, half the teachers at this school should be fired for such awful teaching and administration just simply don't care(despite there efforts) Please don't come to this school. anywhere but here! Please!!"
