"I like how San Rafael is a very diverse school and is very welcoming but what I would like to see change are the programs and clubs two grow as the sport programs. Have more options for school classes as well."

"My experience at SRHS has been great so far. I'm a junior currently and I think the school does a great job at giving people a meaningful high school experience. There are some great teachers. Even those I do not personally like have all been very smart and knowledgable. There are many AP classes offered, and students have the opportunity to join unique classes that offer real-life skills and mirror a college environment."

"To me, diversity is one of the most important aspects a school can possess, and San Rafael High School is definitely one of the most diverse schools in Marin county. The student body is composed of a variety of nationalities, which makes the school rich in cultures and beliefs. However, a major problem with a diverse school is that students tend to stick with those that have the same skin color as them, and San Rafael High School happened to be a victim of it. My friends and I all came from the same cultural background, so I guess that in a way, we were responsible for the segregation of nationalities. For that reason, if I were to begin high school once again, I would emphasize the need for the mixing of races. The mixing of races within a school not only makes the school stand out more, but it creates a more peaceful environment that favors students academically and sociably."

"San Rafael High School has been a very good experience so far. I am currently a Sophomore and I'm enjoying my time. However, there are problems. I am apart of the school free and reduce breakfast and lunch program. I have to say the lunches are horrible. The salad bar is great, but the actual food is not. It's all dried or stale and it's not enjoyable to eat, which is why I bring my own food now. There is also a line that Latino kids think they can't cross. Our ASAB is full of white kids and we feel as if we cannot be apart of the student body because there is only white and popular people in the student body ."
