"When I first came to this school, I wanted to leave. I wanted to go to another school because of all the rumors about how getto this school is. But on my first few days of school, one of my teachers told me "give this school a chance. Most people who did not want to come to this school, now dont want to leave it." I had no choice in where I was able to go to school so I had to give this school a chance. This school is not spirited what so ever so most days were just a big bore, but the other studnets who go here make brunches and lunches really fun. I have met so many great people here, and that experience I wold never want to change. The people who go to this school come from very different backgrounds and want very different things in life. It is also very diverse. I would say going to this school has benefited me a lot in a sence that I came from a school with people just like me,to a school with people who are very different from me which opend my eyes to many real life situations that other people face everyday If I were to choose one thing that makes this school unique, it would be the diversity in race/ethnicity and backgrounds of everyone who comes here. Even though I had some bad experiences with a lot of teachers who seem to not care what so ever about anyones educatoon, I have experienced the most eye opening experiences of my life with the people at this school. If I were asked three years ago, my freshman year, if I would want to start over and if I would choose this school again, I would gladly say no. But now that I am a senior reflecting on all my years, I would say that I would choose this school to do it all over again because I do not know any other school that has the type of people this scholl has that are so passionate about their education trying to become first year college students in their families."

"Within the past three years of attending this high school, being my freshmen through junior year, i have had every type of teacher possible. I have had so many teachers who seem to only be working there for the money, not caring for the students, not caring if the students are struggling or not, expect the students to have previous knowledge of a new class that they have not taken before, and therefor are really not good teachers. They expect first or second year high school students to understand every word they say about the subject without teaching them or informing them about anything. Some teachers have so many students failing, and when students complain to the principal, all the teacher does is blame the student, even though nearly everyone in their class is failing. I have also had teachers who would bump peoples grades because they feel sorry for them, or ask someone to do one worksheet and their grade would suddenly go from an F to a C or higher. For example, my junior year of high school, I had this teacher who would make power point presentations with really long paragraphs on the screen, and finish talking about the whole power point withing ten minutes, shut off the projector, and expect us to know everything. And when we would need help on class work, we would go up to her and all she would say is "go away, i am working. Stop bothering me." But those are the worst i have ever had. I have also had some of the best teachers i have ever met. Ones who care so much about everyone in the class to succeed and they put in extra work and effort into making sure they teach every student and to make sure that every student learn the material no matter how many different ways they have to teach because they understand that every student has different learning styles and abilities. Those teachers go out of their way to stay afterschool and tutor students and help students every chance they get to make sure they pass the class."

"There is a lot of pressure in this school and if you were to join next year, I suggest you prepare yourself well enough."
