"Big focus on athletics. Availability of AP classes varies from year to year, affecting GPA and overall college readiness. Wonderful teachers."

"I enjoy the safe environment. Unfortunately, many classes have been cut which is very unfortunate. For example, art and cosmetology."

"I love calaveras high school. There is not a lot of high school drama and everyone is friends. The staff and teachers are all very encouraging. They are always there to help and are considerate for different situations at home. Calaveras high has two ROP classes. Rop medical and Rop police science. Both classes are a great step for students going in to a law or medical field."

"Calaveras high school has many students who like to be involved and some teachers we can personally talk to for help. However, due to budget and effort we don't offer very many classes at all or electives. This limits the opportunity for students to learn more and discover what they are interested in. Also some teachers don't take the time to teach material properly and give notes and enough time to go over the material. Our school used to thrive on our pride but without a mascot it has been hard. Many students take pride in our sports, but there is little school activities that students are involved in. We don't do very many dances, our rallies are limited, and when it comes to administration and money, we don't do what's best for the students. We have cut many classes such as art, ap classes, physics, ect. and some teachers are not qualified for what they teach. Due to the lack of opportunity I would not recommend this school to anyone."
