"I honestly don't think Comstock deserves its bad reputation. I think all the teachers - exceptions of a few - are excellent teachers and create a wonderful environment for the students, but I bet almost every school has a couple of not-so-great-teachers anyway. I'll be honest here though, not every class will have a good learning environment. I was in advanced math and English so these classes have better learning environment since they have more academically serious students. I was stuck in a few of those not-so-great classes, but I still learned almost everything that was taught. So my point? It really comes down the student themselves - whether they're willing to learn or not. As for the non-educational part, we have fun rallies about 3-4 times for the whole school year where we do fun activities (7th vs. 8th), every Friday there's music at lunch, students get Renaissance cards depending on their GPA and we use the "perks" to get treats once in a while, and there's also 8th grade Fun Day for 8th graders at the end of the year. Keep in mind I haven't gone to any other middle school though, so this is based on my personally experience and opinion.thanks !"

"I go to Santa Rosa Middle School because I got a transfer, People at my school think that Comstock is a bad school, but I strongly disagree. I have no idea what they're against, but if they have no experience at that school, then they should not be talking. Some of my best friends go to Comstock, and they speak very highly of Comstock. I am glad people are enjoying the classes, teachers, and fellow students!"

"Comstock is the bomb!! i know that everyone says that we are really small but to me that is a good thing because it is faster to get to classes, there isn't fights when everyone thinks we are like that but we are not,and that teachers & principal keeps an eye on you! Trust Me!haha and we have really good athletes too! We are really actually have the best readers from the rest of the school also! and test scores. So if u have a child about to go to middle school I highly recommend Comstock!!"

"My child attends this school and we like it because of the cultural diversity. The classrooms are small and the staff and office keep track of how my student is doing. The school has an on-site counselor which I find to be very helpful."
