"It provided an environment that made me and every other kid feel good about ourselves, feel safe, feel valued, and feel excited about each day and the future. I have nothing but good memories about Fort Bragg High--I've learned that not everyone can say that about their high school experience."

"I am a graduate from FBHS, and I am writing mainly in response to some of the reviews I have seen. First off, I believe that the senior projects were really a good thing. I was forced to be creative, innovative, and independent. I had to follow a goal that I myself made. So, as a past student, I say, keep the senior projects! And, while test scores may be important for college acceptance, I think that using a variety of teaching techniques such as senior projects is a sound idea. We don't need a population of youth who only know how to take multiple choice tests and write expository essays (although these things are also very important). We need students who are versatile and innovative! Some of the faculty at FBHS are not good, while some are amazing (I imagine like most other schools). Teaching is a hard job."

"This school has very devoted teachers and hard working students. The campus is always very clean and everything in the classrooms are well orginized. If I had to give a one word description of this school it would be: amazing."

"This high school takes too much time off during the school year. They actually take a one week break in Oct. and Feb.. The students can't stay focussed as they are going on vacation as well as the teachers more than any school district I have ever been involved in. Another irritating thing they do is called the senior project. It works out of the English department. This project is just to distracting and does nothing for the students. Ask any of them past, present. There are students that transfer to Mendo. High school so they can get out of the senior project. They need to stop it immediately. It has done nothing to raise test scores. So why is it still in place? The only parent involvement is in sports and band as the parents do a lot of volunteer work and fund raising to keep them afloat."
