"The Performing & Fine Arts Academy at Natomas Charter School is sure to make you feel welcome on your first day of school and comfortable through your last day of school. The culture can't be found anywhere else. Walking down the halls, there are students singing, playing instruments or preparing for a role. The academics are mediocre. Either you have a really good academic teacher or a really bad academic teacher and that makes or breaks the class for you. However, there are more good teachers than bad and you will be prepared for college and have support where you need it."

"I had so many issues with the staff that never seemed to get resolved. Even after going to the higher chains of command, nothing ever seemed to get done."

"PFAA is a fantastic school to send your child if they have any interest in the arts whatsoever. In addition to a full arts education, their general ed programs are also admirable. For students: Prepare for long nights study/doing homework. Just because it's an art school, it doesn't mean the curriculum is easy. Most classes are college prep -- and yes, they do actually prepare you for college coursework. The easiest way to fail is to not do any of the work. For parents: Be there to make sure your child is in healthy mental state. Due to the intense level -- and volume -- of coursework, your child will be exhausted at the end of the week. Overall, the experience of going to PFAA may be unorthodox but it does prepare you for higher education coursework."

"Natomas Charter School offers a very unique and different experience as opposed to the other schools since it is a performing and fine arts academy. It provides students an opportunity to embrace the arts as well as preparing students for academic success. The environment at Natomas Charter is welcoming and all the students and faculty have a family like relationship embracing diversity and togetherness. As someone who graduated from charter I can definitely say that my highschool experience was different from all the other students. I had the freedom to embrace my talents, succeed academically, and find my own identity."
