"This school's academics are alright. They really don't prepare students to be as competitive as other schools in California but its acceptable. This is not a high school where would send at least one student to an Ivy League school or other competitive college. Majority or most of these students are expected to attend the local community college or local state university. On average, only about 6 or 7 students here get accepted to a UC in California. Which is really sad. I am only one of the 7 students from the class of 2015 who got accepted into a UC and only 4 of us attended a UC, and we all agree that we are suffering really hard and this high school did not prepare us at all compared to our peers at our UCs. This just prove how these students are being prepared for college and how they start their next important chapter in life. Very sad."

"The some of the teachers were very knowledgeable and friendly while others just don't care about their students and have no passion in teaching. So a lot of students question, "why are they even teaching?" The school should've hired someone else who can do the job better and not just to get paid for teaching the students nothing. Many of these students are definitely not prepared for college. College will be very hard and a major cultural shock to many will possibly drop out."

"There are a lot of ethnic minority students here that became one of the majority of this school's student body. Such as the Hmong students. They are an ethnic minority in this country but about half or more of this school's students are Hmong. The majority of the successful students here are Hmong and many have been successful because of their self determination to become better than their refugee parent's that couldn't show much support because they don't know much how to be positively involved in their children's education. Besides, majority of their yearly top-tens are Hmong."

"There are barley any parent's involvement at this school. I am disgusted how much these students are missing out on support from their parents and loved ones that could bring much more success and energy to the events and activities."
