"Lahainaluna High School is a very enthusiastic school, were school spirit is everywhere. Alumni are everywhere and all have wonderful things to add to the school. All the extra curricular activities make learning fun and an easy way to learn more about the community."

"As a graduate from this local Hawaiian school, I wasn't really please with the outcome. I was displeased with how many of the faculty didn't care for their students or created a good relationship with the students. Being the oldest school of the Rockies really meant that it was an old school. I was upset with how ill prepared academically this school was or still is. There are books that are not up to date and students still in hot sticky class rooms which affect their learning cause they aren't focused on what the teacher is trying to teach. The only good experience was attending a family oriented school. In Hawaii this school really shows the Aloha spirit that Hawaii is known for. As well as having some interactions with the classes that I took, such as my architectural classes and my art classes."

"Lahainaluna High School is an extremely spirited and diverse school. The dynamic is unlike other schools with our tight-knit community so dedicated and supporting of us."

"Lahainaluna is special due to its rich history. The school dates back to 1831 and is called "the oldest school west of the Rockies". There are so many traditions that really makes the school stand out. Our alma mater is the only one all in Hawaiian. The support the school has from the community and society is enormous. Many alumni come back to teach, coach, or even help out with an event. Our school had a generous donation of over a million dollars to help pay for our new football field. There is a sense of pride that lifts up the spirits of the people in Lahaina. No school is perfect and what I would change is adding more classes such as AP classes for students to take. It's challenging since there aren't that many qualified teachers on campus. Also, we need more teachers as well."

"There are a few notable teachers. Typically the advanced placement teachers. The few good ones are the absolute best there is."
