"What makes this school unique is the teachers. The teachers are not only there to teach but they truly help you try to succeed and make the most of yourself. The teachers try to help you out as much as they can with things like college searches, scholarships, and most of all they are about the most motivation people I know."

"I love Gervais High School. My first year at Gervais was in 5th grade all the way up to my freshman year in high school. I moved to Aurora therefore, I switched schools and at the time I was completely okay with transferring out because I didn't realize how good of a school Gervais really is. After going to a new school I returned for my senior year back at Gervais. I wouldn't drive 20 minutes everyday to go to a school that wasn't worth it. Gervais is filled with a ton of talented and amazing students. I have seen a lot of improvements In the community over the years and it's making Gervais that much better. Most students attending Gervais don't realize how great of a school it really is because they haven't had to go to a different school to realize that the connection between te students and teachers is real and genuine. I've never met a better staff before. I am definitely proud to be apart of such a unique group of people."

"For the most part when I was attending school at Gervais High, most of the teachers for the most part did help students during school and afterschool. Although there were a few teachers who I have to say did minimal teaching and lacked teaching of current issues (History classes). on the other hand Mr. Hobart one of the math teachers was very passionate and cared about his students succeeding in his class. He would help students afterschool and started an engineering club for students."

"For the most part the school focused on a few school tour of public universities in the state. It would have been very helpful if there would have been more resources and guidance for first generation students. Especially since the school is small and it lacks enough resources and information of what can be done to get into a four-year university and programs offered for minorities/migrant students."
