"The scheduling is really out of your hands, because all you really decide is your electives. Besides that you just get a randomized schedule for the core subjects like math, science, social studies and math. If you're lucky you can get your schedule changed, only if you go through the paper work process and if your reasoning is deemed good enough."

"This school was big enough to have lots of different activities to try out and participate in. School spirit was high and attending sports events was probably my favorite part about this high school experience. The band was energetic along with the student sections. Participating in sport was also a great experience because it connected me with kids I probably would of never talked to or hung out with on my own."

"A lot of teachers at South care about their students, and as long as the student is willing to ask for help there is always help provided. Many teachers try to branch out in the way the present the material they're teaching, so it isn't boring. All of them provide extra hours to catch up on work and ask question to understand the material."

"South wasn't that diverse in ethnicity. The majority of kids were either Hispanic or Caucasian, with few African Americans. In my time at South there was probably only three foreign exchange students that were in my classes or that I personally meet. Majority of kids were straight with a few bisexual students, but very few homosexual or openly homosexually students. Although the student body was accepting."

"Some teachers are great while others aren't as great or engaged with their students. There's definitely room for both students and teachers to improve on communicating with one another. Most teachers could care less if a student isn't engaged and in my opinion that's wrong because a teacher is there to teach students and help them grow not slack off and brush them off. I've heard the phrase "It's your education/life not mine, do as you please." multiple times and I don't think it should be used,at all, towards a student, a 'good' teacher will motivate a student and improve their academic abilities."
