"Rainier Beach High School is a place that opens to all kind of students. I see no discrimination at school. Teachers are always supportive, the staffs are friendly and helpful. I hope that in the future our school can be expanded more so we can have more classrooms."

"In my honest experience, Rainier Beach is a good school. Has many friendly people around to talk to. But there are changes that I want to see. A bigger school. A bigger lunchroom. A bigger gym. Most of the staff in the school are always busy with other students that I have to wait almost 15 minutes to have my turn with the school counsler. Rainier Beach is known for having the best basketball wins. The Diversity is pretty big. The safety, not so much. Rainier beach is surrounded by the people around who smoke and drink and sometimes we get a "shelter in place" or "lock downs." Rainier beach also has its mascot, the Vikings. Rainier Beach doesn't really have much people. Its not small nor not too big but being admitted to Rainier Beach is easy to get in. The only recourses I get from are my friends and my teachers. So overall, Rainier Beach is a not bad school but Im hoping it changes for future students in getting the success into going to college."

"Rainier Beach High School is a boiling pot of diversity. Contrary to the popular belief that Rainier Beach is a dangerous and uneducated school full of gang members, this is a school that promotes peace and encourages students to try their best. Its a safe environment with high quality education."

"There have been many misconceptions about Rainier Beach. Before I enrolled, all I ever heard was negative rumors. I've been told that Rainier Beach High School was known for gang violence, so on my first day I was determined to switch out, but I didn't. I decided that giving the school a chance would be the right thing to do, and that was the best decision of my life. Contrary to popular belief, none of the things you've heard are true. The school is actually amazing... there's so many extracurricular activities that you can be involved with. You actually benefit greatly from them too."
