"Peninsula High School, although a bit old and worn around the edges, has a charm about it. It has a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel good when I first entered high school and like I was going to do well. With its diverse student body and passionate teachers, it was by far the best fit for me."

"I really liked the teachers and how friendly they were. I also really enjoyed the counseling/administrative offices - they were nice and helpful. Overall, Peninsula is a pretty good high school."

"Overall, my experience at Peninsula High School was a positive one. The school environment was very accepting and nurturing to people from all walks of life. There was never a time where I felt unsafe at Peninsula thanks to the outstanding faculty and school-community inclusiveness. I will admit, however, that some teachers could have done more to help their students succeed. With so many amazing faculty members, the ones that were sub-par stuck out to the students. I felt as though some teachers did not want to be there, which made for many unproductive days. The teachers that were engaged, however, really made a difference in my life and the lives of my peers. I would say that the experience one has a Peninsula high school is largely dependent on the teachers that he/she has."

"Peninsula has great teachers and activities offered. The problem I have with it is not that it isn't diverse- the school can't help its white majority population- but that many choose to be ignorant of the minority population. I have seen kids harassed with phrases like "Immigrants are disgusting and lazy," "Trump being elected finally means no more new immigrants," etc. It is very harmful for a student of a minority group to feel welcomed when people are openly ignorant to situations. The education is good, yes, a bit remedial, and the activities offered are great, the student mindset however could be worked on."

"I love Peninsula High School. I came into it not knowing a single face and everyone was so welcoming and accepting of myself. There is a lot of school spirit all around. Assemblies, football, basketball, and other sports games are packed with fans all coming to support. I would definitely recommend Peninsula to anyone."
