"Over the past year I have moved the course of three times, and all those times(and even now) I live(d) out of district from Franklin Pierce High School, yet I choose to stay their, and many ask me why? Well, for starters the teachers are wonderful. They are always pushing me and other students to strive for the best, and to never give up on oneself. As well a very encouraging; making me and other students feel more comfortable in the school. The quality of the education I am receiving is preparing me for college, and eventually prepare me to work in the, "Real World." Some of my favorite experiences are drawn from both my AP Environmental Science Class, and my AP U.S. History class. For starters both teachers are excellent at teaching the classes, and making it as fun as an AP class can get. An experience I would like to pull out from my AP U.S. History class would be when we where all assigned historical characters, that we had to research, and that next week, during one day, for a whole class period we had to act as those characters. It was a graded assessment, but it was still lots of fun, and their was food involved! What makes this school unique is that it is a small school (little over 1,000 students) and is consistently being referred to as, "Ghetto" by students who don't even attend Franklin Pierce High School, that automatically assume, just because the school is in a high poverty district, and doesn't look nice, that it must be an awful school. Those who argue that claim are wrong, yet I think that is what makes FP so unique, that it gets a bad rep, yet it has ridiculously high graduation rates , amazing athletic programs, awesome teachers, wonderful staff, and great students. FP matches the saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover," because, our school rugged looking on the outside, however, it is so much more than walls, on the inside. So Overall, yes I would choose this school again, without a doubt. Teachers and Staff make it completely worth it."

"The teachers at Franklin Pierce High School are fantastic; They are always wiling to help and encourage students to strive for their best and never give up on themselves. Every teacher has their own way of teaching, however they incorporate multiple teaching strategies so visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, learners are all able to understand. The teachers have great knowledge in the subject(s) that they teach, and make the lessons intriguing, and not boring. The staff and teachers truly care about the students, and preparing us for the, "Real World." Teachers communicate constantly with students about grades-good or bad, as well as check in on us, to see how are day is going, or how we are doing in general. The teachers take any opportunity they get to emphasize the importance of having goals, and planning ahead for the future (Such as college, finding a job, etc.) Franklin Pierce High School teachers genially care about their students-many graduates from several years ago still contact some of their old teachers to let them know how they are doing in life, and thank them for inspiring them to work hard throughout their high school education, and how prepared they have felt for college. Overall the staff and teachers are great, I cannot emphasize that enough. However, Franklin Pierce High School gets a bad rep, because it is in a poverty stricken area. But what many don't realize is FPHS has higher graduation rates than the average of the state of Washington; now that proves that Franklin Pierce High School teachers are pretty awesome in giving their students the best fighting chance possible."

"Overall all the students are helped within the classroom and provide us with the encouragement and trust that we will be able to preform and get the job done no matter what is necessary."

"Her name is Miss. Madsen, she is my 3rd period CWP/Civics teacher. She is an all star; she takes her job very seriously and goes the extra mile to help a student in need. Yet sometimes she can be a little upset with her husband, she never lets it interfere with her work ethic."

"I love Franklin Pierce High School. The staff was simply amazing. In fact, they were so amazing, there made me deeply consider going into teaching myself, teaching at Franklin Pierce High School simply so that I can have an impact on students the way my teachers had on me. While I don't know if I want to become a teacher, I know that when I do become successful I will dedicate my life the way the teachers did to us, I will do the same with the local youth. Not only that, I will make sure that I donate and help the school out financially simply because the care that the teachers have at Franklin Pierce High School is unmatchable."
