"I liked the small community because it offered more support then bigger schools. There was also much more time to have one on one conversation with teachers. It is also easier to schedule appointments with a person working in the office, or the principal, or the school counselor. It is hard to get lost or confused and everything is shared, you know about every opportunity (almost) and every event. The one thing I disliked was that a small community comes with everyone knowing what you are up to. It also created bigger social norms (popular kids vs. drug kids vs. non-popular kids). There were also less opportunities provided (less sports options, club options, etc) due to having a small community which meant less diversity and less income to the school."

"Teachers were nice, taught good. Food could be better. Tonasket High School was all about the P.R.I.D.E. P standing for Perseverance . R standing for respect. I standing for Integrity. D standing for discipline. E standing for excellence. When I attend I always felt like the students who got the awards didn't deserve them. It seemed like they always looked at one good deed from the bad kids and never even looked at the good kids because they were always good. I think that's one thing they need to change. Equality!"

"There are teachers who are engaging and care about how this will affect students, but many just relay the message that it's required by the state and school and ect. I wish there were more real life scenarios applied to lessons and maybe classes to prepare for the future such as how to do taxes, buy a house, prepare for college, ect."

"For high school, it's okay, but there isn't a ton of college prep."

"Its the typical small town school. Everybody knows everybody and everything, and a lot of the students have grown up together."
