"I must disagree with the other reviews. This is a great school and many families move to this community just to go to this great school. The teachers are great and expect the most of the children. That is why this school has such great test scores and the students win alot of awards around the parish. Poland students won the most awards in the writing competition in the parish for the last 2 years. They also have more activities then basketball-Poland offers basketball, baseball, softball, the #1 4-H club in the parish, Jr. Beta Club which are involved in alot of great activities. Poland also awards their students with great awards at the end of each year-ipods, nintendos, TVs, steros, bikes, gift certs. to AE, Academy, and many more. I beleive parents who think they could do a better job, maybe they should go try! This is a great school!"

"I would not recommend this school to anyone at this time. The teachers do not conduct themselves in a professional manner. They are allowed to dress in inappropriate clothing and are not setting a good example for our children. The principal does not care about anyone but himself and the faculty. He pushes for high test scores but could careless on making sure the children are being taught properly. The only activity currently being offered is basketball to ONLY certain children. This school's population has declined over the last several years. It will continue declining until the school board steps up to the plate and gets rid of the principal, assistant principal and certain staff which includes the truancy officer. This is a school people stand up for your child's educational rights."

"This school is not recomended for several reasons. The teachers do not handle themselves in a professional manner. The principle does nothing for the students. This schools population has declined in the past few years and will continue to decline until the school board gets that principle out of there along with certain teachers. There are no activities for the children."
