"Unless you are a Teacher or employed within the school system, Hopewell Area School does NOT care about your child. The staff shows extreme favoritism towards particular students. My child is a High Distinguished Honor Roll Student and a member of Student Council, NJHS, and Class Club and is DISCRIMINATED against when it comes to field trips and particular functions, they always find a way to tell her she is not permitted to attend, however, teachers children and children whom are not involved in the clubs are permitted to attend??? I suppose this is because she is the only African American / Caucasian member! However they are proud to use her for fundraising and volunteering her time to help CLEAN! If you are white and considered high class, you may be okay! I give this school NO STARS!!"

"I have two children who are currently attending this school. Generally the academic work is challenging. As in most districts, there are excellent teachers and some not so good teachers. For the most part my children have had excellent teachers who not only have taught them but also mentored them. The school does maintain discipline - which apparently some students do not appreciate."

"Our school is not that great. The only thing we realy do good is our sports teams. The varsity girls basketball team recently won state champs. The second year in a row."

"Over active disciplineary practises. Conformity to every aspect of the way 'they' like to see things is a must. Creativity is not incouraged well, and when it is incouraged it can only be in specific clases. At least 50% of the teachers are hypocritical, most could care less about student mental health, so long as the student will meet their standards and isn't shooting other students."
