"The school is beautiful. However, the curriculum should be implemented in a challenging way. What happened to projects and book reports? My child can give me a story about disruptive behavior from different kids everyday. I wish the school would group the children according to their academic abilities."

"Roosevelt School is not the typical urban school. The new addition and renovations have certainly made the building itself look amazing. The staff is eager to show support for students with all kinds of needs. This is done by working as a team and building a relationship with those that work in the school. Keep up the great job!"

"I think Roosevelt is trying to improve the experience for the children by creating a community atmosphere. They have several new staff, including the Principal, who are truly concerned. The teacher response has been incredible. They certainly don't have many tools to work with due to overpopulation and funding. Many of the children come from poverty level with a 'street' attitude. I feel much of the time spent in the classroom is wasted because the teachers have to deal with so many behavior problems. There are too many non-English speaking children matriculated into general population which slows all of the English speaking children down academically. I do not feel this is fair. What happened to ESOL? Generally I feel the administration at the school, not the District, is doing the best they can with the tools they have."

"The teachers seem to care however there is limited funding towards education in Allentown. Holiday parties are not allowed because some families can't provide for their children as they are on food stamps/welfare. This is something that bothered me."
