"Musical Theatre program can be toxic for the student. Leah Pitsack has favorites. If your child is no a favorite of hers beware. In the 2 years we were associated with the program. there was a student revolt forcing the teacher to go on sick leave the last two weeks of school. the teacher encouraged a parent to file a complaint of bullying against a student who's Jewish parents were questioning the wisdomof performing religious Xmas songs. All other teachers reported exemplary behavior for this student. Another student was unjustly accused by a parent of stealing. the parent threatened the student who was pulled out of school for her safety. A student was accosted on Facebook by a parent for for not giving her daughter a lead role in a dance routine. At no time did the teacher ever intervene. After two years my child has learnt that talent does not count. What counts is how happy you keep the producer."

"Very unhappy with the administration. Very two faced, not trustworthy. Don't send your kids here"

"Great school. Very happy there. The honors program is excellent. Because it is a charter school, the principal has flexibility in making decisions without the bureacracy. Parents need to volunteer a min. of 10 hours a year. Overall, a great learning environment."

"El Rancho has a variety of programs that will cater to a diverse student population.... Musical Theater, Academic Decathalon, after-school sports, etc. ERCS students are well-prepared for high school. Parent involvement is mandatory which solidifies its success."
