"Having two children attend Olu I would say the school ranks higher than public schools in the area but is sub par to other private high schools. The parking situation is ridiculous. Your children will need to park behind Sears and ride a shuttle to and from the school. Not very convenient with early morning and late afternoon athletic practices and at times it is down right dangerous with the homeless in the parking lot. Unfortunately I have heard far too many stories of the glorified security, or dean of students office, harassing students. Lastly, the football program is terrible. I will select another school for my youngest two children."

"I am a freshmen at OLu , and I was very excited for the school year to start. After the first months I started noticing things that I did not notice in the beginning. I noticed that it was not as good as how it was staged to be. During the enrollment process to the school, all the meetings and the introductions, Orange Lutheran looked like the perfect place to be. After going to school for the first semester, I can say that it is not the perfect place to be. Although there is no such thing as the perfect school, Orange Lutheran costs a lot of money, so it should be worth how much it costs. There are also additional costs to go to OLU, they are always asking for donations, and the sports cost outrages amounts compared to public schools. The teachers are all very polite, but polite is different than being a very good teacher. Even though Olu is a Christian school, it does not mean that all the students will have a Christian like attitude. Overall, OLu does not seem to be worth all the money that it costs and it is very fake. I gave the rating 2 stars because OLU is Christian and the school has a required class for religion every grade and it is one of the best parts of the school."

"I am a Freshman at OLU, at the beginning of the year I was so excited and thrilled t attend this school, but now after finishing the school year I am not looking forward to back to school. This last year I have across 2 great teacher. the staff there need a revision, just because they have been there for a long time does not mean they are still fit for that job. An other thing I came across was if you play a sport they treat you completely different. Not all couches make teachers. The school puts on a mask for accreditation and for getting people to enroll at the school, I hope the school will import because they have a really long way to go."

"This school is incredible. I am a sophomore at OLu and absolutly love this school. The teachers here are incredible and truly care about their students. The school leadership is great. From the student leadership team to missions to ambasadors and ignite to the principal and staff, it really doesn't get much better than OLu. The challenging academic programs including honors and ap classes as well as the stem program, orange Lutheran gives your child an opportunity to chose which courses they will take and allow them to excel. The incredible teachers and counselors are there to support you every step of the way. In addition, to incredible academics and leadership, the school has incredible athletics and school spirit unlike any other. From excellence on the court to the football field to cheerleading and dance and the fantastic theater program, Orange Lutheran excels in every area. I can honestly say Orange Lutheran has exceeded every expectation I had. I highly recommend this school to anyone wishing to grow in their faith and be challenged mentally, physically, and spiritually."

"I am a former freshman at Orange Lutheran High School, and have attended the school for one semester. My first impression of the school was pure amazement! (I apologize, but I do not have enough characters left to put outstanding compliments, which I would have done. Otherwise, I would not have been able to get the full story out). The reason why I attended Orange Lutheran for only one semester was due to financial reasons, and I was very upset to not have been offered financial aid. Although I was a freshman, my courses included (H) Chemistry, (H) English 3, (H) Algebra II/Trig, and (H) Ancient History, along with two electives. I must say that I worked hard for my grades! Prior this, I was offered financial aid for Sophomore year, however, it had to be fought over since they were only interested in offering financial aid to athletics. Also, my family would not have been able to make it until then, and it would have been selfish to put them under such financial pressure. Understandably, the school is well-known for their athletics, and thus, do not spend much time increasing their academics. However, I was just very upset to not have been able to attend Orange Lutheran."
