"Our experience at Aspen Country Day School has been very positive. Our daughter loves her school and eagerly looks forward to attending every day. Even if she doesn't feel well, she still wants to go to school (we don't let her but it is telling that she'd still want to attend even when sick). We love the personal attention and care she receives. The school motto is "Known and Loved" and it is really true. Many of the teachers and administrators have been at the school for a long time. They truly know and love the students. Each child is nourished and encouraged to be his or her best. Character is very important in the school. Integrity, loyalty, hard work, grit, determination, kindness, volunteerism, etc. are reinforced every day. The school walks its talk. Teachers are responsive to parents, as are administrators. Yet, rules are rules and everyone lives by the same school rules. We love the curriculum of rigorous academics, arts and outdoor education. Children learn to think critically, and to love learning. Students complete the school ready to flourish at any high school, including top boarding schools around the country. Typically, half of each graduating class attend boarding schools and the other half attend local high schools. Those who choose boarding schools are accepted and thrive at many of the country's most prestigious boarding schools. We appreciate that ACDS prepares its students for the rigors of demanding prep schools and universities while simultaneously instilling the moral codes that are far more important to a successful life than test scores and a GPA. ACDS also enjoys one of the most beautiful campuses you could find anywhere in the world. We would recommend this school to anyone."
