"there are fights, bullies, and too much work! well its actually not half bad its just like every other school there are great music and arts programs, lots of choices to help get you ready for college and for the career you want to pursue! the teachers are wonderful and kind( and the science teachers even have snakes!!!) overall even with the schools "minor" flaws its a pretty great place!"

"Chichester did not prepare me for college though I took advantage of every opportunity offered. For example, I earned the highest score in the school on a nation-wide standarded Spanish exam: a 42%."

"OK so this high school is a "lower-upper" school experience. The school is not so great based on test scores and the demographics of this district. They really don't have a lot to offer academically, it is a very "throw back" school stuck in a time warp. If you want any thing challenging, like a STEM program, or excellent collage guidance services, this is not the place for you. Fights, cursing, etc are all the norm at this school. I think the school tries, but there is too much focus on the kids that are having behaviour problems. There is a huge drug problem, not only in the high school, but the middle school as well, my child has seen drug use first hand at these schools. Some of the classes are out of control and the teacher cannot teach, just looking at the school, you would say it is obviously in a financially strained area. There is nothing done to the grounds to make it attractive, there are spots with no grass, trash, etc. I can see that the teachers are trying, but thoses who want to learn and may be a middle learner are sometimes overlooked. I would advise parents to either move into a better district that can offer more opportunities or consider a private school."

"This school admittedly, has a not-so great reputation. However, many of these are exaggerated. There are issues within the School and Student Body, (foul language is more than prevalent, drugs are not unheard off to the district, average to below average standardized test scores, etc.), but there is plenty right with school as well. There is a fantastic music program, offering several choruses and bands. There's a wide variety of sports for students to choose from, with the most popular being football, and of course the parents love to be involved with all extracurricular activities. . Another point, is there is not one teacher that will not sacrifice their own time, and go far beyond their job title to assist a student in need. For me the largest problem in the school is the sheer lack of pride. When something goes wrong, or there is an issue, it is not uncommon to hear, "That's Chi for you" or "Welcome to Chi". It is this mentality that I believe causes several of the problems within the district in the first place. While I can openly admit that my school has more than it's fair share in issues, it's the school I have unwavering pride for, and there's no where else I'd rather go."
