"Keep looking, even if you have to search outside of Auburn. The school has had 3 different principals in as many years and no longer offers Spanish, music, after school drama, or science club. I know of several families who left the school and discovered their children were way behind in math classes. The current principal seems to be after increasing enrollment and that is it. Communication between administration and parents is lacking, student morale seems low, and technology in the classroom is extremely behind the times. If your priority is religion in the classroom everyday and weekly Mass, they have got that covered."

"Having attended this school for eight years I have a good understanding of what it has to offer. While the students do get a faith based education the academics are seriously lacking. It is a very middle of the road education. If you have a child that excels they have nothing to offer or if you have a child that needs resources there are none. They cater to the average student & due to funding lack science & updated computer labs. Both of my children are above average & no matter how much I tried they never were challenged. If your child is average this would work for you but if they are an accelerated learner or need additional help this is not the school for you. Girls do better in this school. If you look at the middle school many parents pull their boys in the upper grades as the classes are predominantly girl's grades 6-8.The graduating class of 2012 had four boys & 16 girls. If you have a son that has any normal boy behavior- beware! The teachers are not tolerant of what I consider normal behavior in a boy.The new principal appears to be heading in the right direction but no matter what they will never have the resources needed to cater to all learning modalities. We have moved on."

"The teachers don't care about the students. They allow bulling and the teachers do it to kids in there class. This school is not very good."

"The school is great. The teachers value all of the students. It is a family atmosphere that is warm and accepting. The grading standards are higher than public school. They start division in 2nd grade. It is great to see all of the parents at school supporting the school, the students, and each other. It is a great school to be a part of for our family."

"I have two children at this school. They started at kindegarten. I sincerely believe that this school has the administration, the staff, the teachers, the parents and two parishes on the same page. This is a very difficult task to manage. I understand that everyone does not always agree but they compromise and implement the best environment for the children to learn first and foremost the academics and right next to that the Christian values that give these children a great foundation in which to grow. I have not encountered any establishment that takes their role more seriously than St Josephs Catholic School."
