"Despite the strenuous amounts of homework and time that is required to excel at Marmion, I feel that this school has helped me in ways that no other school would be able to. I have Attention Deficit Disorder, and I did not know about it for the first two and a half years of high school. My cumulative GPA before second semester junior year (the time that I was diagnosed and treated) was a 3.16. My teachers would put in the effort to help me excel, going out of their way to make time for a study session with me or to help me on a particularly difficult assignment. However, although I studied for at least three to four hours on any given night, my work just was not up to par in my eyes (or my parents' eyes, for that matter). Once I was diagnosed with ADD, teachers were thrilled to see me achieving grades that I had not previously been capable of achieving. My GPA for second semester junior year was a 3.8 (without honors classes, meaning my GPA cap was a 4.0), and for first semester senior year, it was a 4.5 (I picked up three AP classes thanks to the advice of a few of my teachers). The work and effort has been difficult to say the least, but it has shaped me into the student that I am today, and based on my opinion, the results from the work that I put in, and the things that graduates have said, Marmion is going to pay off in the long run. I believe that this applies to any student that puts in the effort and is willing to push themselves to achieve great things- not only at Marmion, but in their lives in general."

"I was not happy my parents made me attend an all boys high school. I look back on it now and it was the best decision my parents ever made. An all male environment is truly a great experience. You become close and it turns into a brotherhood."

"While every school has at least a teacher or two that seem to posses poor attitudes and / or teaching styles, there are very few of these cases at Marmion Military Academy. Students who take advantage of all of the resources, clubs, academic advisory, etc. that the school has to offer will thrive and achieve what they may never have thought possible. Teachers go out of their way to give extra attention to students that may be struggling in their class, but will never make it obvious to other students. A teacher may ask a student if they would like extra help after school or during a study hall, or if they would like a personalized study guide so that they may more fully grasp the material covered in a given class. The teachers at Marmion Military Academy are not there for themselves; they are there for the students."

"Most teachers I came across seemed to genuinely care about the students. I always felt I was able to approach any teacher in the school for help if need be. They want everyone to succeed and that is what I love most."

"Marmion is not perfect - no place is - but it's the best option for those close enough to be able enroll your sons there. The teachers and staff focus on not only educating, but also preparing the young men to be thoughtful, caring leaders in life. These young men will not just make friends during their HS years, they will have brothers that will be with them for the rest of their lives. We have had one son graduate and one soon to graduate and would definitely sacrifice to do it again if at all possible."
