"My school has taught me how to prepare for college. The intense paper writing to just being on schedule. Not procrastinate on my school work."

"Despite the strenuous amounts of homework and time that is required to excel at Marmion, I feel that this school has helped me in ways that no other school would be able to. I have Attention Deficit Disorder, and I did not know about it for the first two and a half years of high school. My cumulative GPA before second semester junior year (the time that I was diagnosed and treated) was a 3.16. My teachers would put in the effort to help me excel, going out of their way to make time for a study session with me or to help me on a particularly difficult assignment. However, although I studied for at least three to four hours on any given night, my work just was not up to par in my eyes (or my parents' eyes, for that matter). Once I was diagnosed with ADD, teachers were thrilled to see me achieving grades that I had not previously been capable of achieving. My GPA for second semester junior year was a 3.8 (without honors classes, meaning my GPA cap was a 4.0), and for first semester senior year, it was a 4.5 (I picked up three AP classes thanks to the advice of a few of my teachers). The work and effort has been difficult to say the least, but it has shaped me into the student that I am today, and based on my opinion, the results from the work that I put in, and the things that graduates have said, Marmion is going to pay off in the long run. I believe that this applies to any student that puts in the effort and is willing to push themselves to achieve great things- not only at Marmion, but in their lives in general."

"I was not happy my parents made me attend an all boys high school. I look back on it now and it was the best decision my parents ever made. An all male environment is truly a great experience. You become close and it turns into a brotherhood."

"I do like this school compared to others in the area but do not believe it lives up to the hype I hear from past parents. Some boys are respectful, saying hello and holding doors, etc. But I see a great deal of disrespect from the boys to each other and their parents and teachers after school, at events, etc. Discipline seems unevenly applied. Quality of teachers is uneven. Some programs are innovative and very helpful to the boys' futures. The choice of leadership programs is an asset. Activities period during the school day is a great idea."
