"A majority of the teachers at this school put effort into teaching their students the material on the curriculum. Some teachers go above and beyond when teaching. They teach students as a whole in class, hand out homework to practice what they learned, and provide extra time to students who do not understand the material. A select few teachers do not care about the student's education and seem to be teaching just to get money and not to better the knowledge of the students. There have been some instances in which teachers are disrespectful to students when they attempt to state an opinion that does not mirror the teachers. These teachers also sometimes do not take time to help students who do not understand the material. Overall, teachers use effective teaching styles and prioritize the needs of their students."

"Some of the teachers are extremely engaged in teaching, grading, and engaging with students. These teachers do an excellent job of making lessons interesting, increasing student participation, and respecting their students. These teachers are extremely approachable and easy to find outside of class. However, some teachers are not as friendly or approachable. These teachers are not always consistent with their grading and do not always respect student ideas."

"I wouldn't change the experiences I've had at Oswego East for anything. I started high school with no plan and very few friends and as I prepare to leave high school next month, I think about how lucky I am to have gone to school here. At East, I found my passion for languages - what I hope to continue studying for the rest of my career. The academics at the school are great, but what makes East special is that the people that push you to make the most out of your time. These are the people that I call my friends as I graduate. These are the people that I would go back to East for. Nothing could top the experiences I've had with my best friends and the things I get to look forward to because of the opportunities I was presented with at Oswego East."

"Attending Oswego East High School for all four years was definitely an interesting experience. Despite the constant changing of school principals, the administration tried to keep the traditions as they were. The best experiences from my high school career probably involved spirit week for homecoming. Each day of the week, there would be a theme and the classes would compete to have the highest score. I loved competing in hallway decorations and homecoming themes because it really brought out the school spirit in the students and even the administration. Our school dances were also very exciting and high quality. With that being said, the school changed school principals each year which really stunted our overall growth. It seemed difficult to better the school as a whole since the principals were new and learning all of our traditions each year. But if I could do it all over again, I would definitely choose this school. Oswego East is one of the few highschools that is highly advanced and extremely large. Our student section was massive and very high in spirit and energy. The past four years have been quite an adventure and I wouldn't change that for anything."

"The teachers at Oswego East go above and beyond to make sure you understand the material they're teaching. Overall, the teachers I have had utilize interactive teaching styles to enthrall the students every day. The interactive teaching style means that when I walk into the classroom, I can take full advantage of the time I have allocated with the teacher and I know that they appreciate my questions as much as I appreciate the answers. The answers they give me are insightful and despite how silly my questions may seem, they put as much effort into finding the most intellectually sound answer as they do to give students every opportunity to do well."
