"I gotta hand it to this school. This past Saturday there was a school garden initiative and not only was the principal there but so were about 30 other people (teachers, parents, and students). Weekends are sacred. For parents, teachers, students and the principal to show up to do yard work is really impressive. Teachers are serious about the academics and while I'm no fan of homework, it is what it is. My kindergartner is reading so something is clearly working. My daughter had a bullying issue with another student and after I emailed her teacher not only was she on top of it, but so was the counselor and the assistant principal. I received the most reassuring email from my daughter's teacher, I can't even begin to tell you. I even forwarded it to grandparents who were as concerned about the bullying as I was. Long story short, the problem is solved. It is an uneasy peace but it is peace nonetheless. The bottom line for me is that my daughter literally RUNS into school each day. As someone who never really liked school (I went to public and private) I find that the most amazing of all. Go Blanton Bobcats!"

"Excellent teachers, principal and staff. The test score show it on paper and the attitudes of the teachers, staff and students show it in person; this school is exemplary."

"Excellent School. When a teacher can look past a child's lisp and see that he is advanced and gifted, that is wonderful. Before my child came to Blanton he was given basic grades, although my family worked hard to push him beyond and above. It wasnt until he went to Blanton, that he was placed in advanced classes."

"The teachers are great and very hard working. But the administration is a bit standoffish and the women in the front office are not very helpful"

"First of all, the teachers @ blanton go above and beyond. I am impressed with their unity of faculty, staff, teachers, and the parents who step up and strive for the best for the children. Secondly, their after school programs are awesome. I am looking forward to the new school year(2005-2006) and seeing greater accomplishments! -leticia casiano"
